About David W. Martin

The person behind Ask An IT Ninja

I've been fascinated by computers and technology since the early days of personal computing. What began with programming on a Commodore PET grew into a career spanning software development, technology journalism, IT support, systems engineering, and education.

Over the years, I've written about technology for publications including Ahoy!, Compute!, Compute!'s Gazette, Amiga Computing, CNET, Cult of Mac, and BYTE. My technical experience also includes writing and testing software associated with NASA's Space Shuttle program.

I've worked with everything from classic Commodore computers to modern Apple devices, business systems, databases, networks, and enterprise technology.

Why I Created Ask An IT Ninja

Technology changes quickly, but good information should always be understandable, practical, and trustworthy.

I created Ask An IT Ninja to share technology news, informed opinions, helpful explanations, and lessons learned from decades of hands-on experience.

Whether you're interested in the latest Apple developments, retro computing, cybersecurity, or solving a frustrating technical problem, my goal is to help you better understand the technology around you.

Beyond the Keyboard

Outside of technology, my interests include community service, teaching, retro computers, drones, aquariums, and spending time with family, friends, and my rescue dog, Fern.

Thanks for visiting Ask An IT Ninja. I hope you'll explore the articles, share your thoughts, and become part of our growing community.
